Mini face lift (threads)

A mini face lift consists of short treatments that are minimally invasive, have a minimal recovery time, and are highly effective, so that they can last, and are currently what most patients want, in order to improve the look of their face. They are mostly combined with hyaluronic fillers and injectable threads, which are some of the most up-to-date and highly effective invasive operations of Aesthetic or Cosmetic Dermatology.

Through the years, and especially during the past decade, the improvement in the quality of materials and application techniques used by manufacturers has resulted in the elimination of any side effects! The production of polydioxanone (PDO) threads, which are much easier to apply, has made the treatment highly popular. Regarding hyaluronic fillers, they are improved every year, in terms of their viscosity and elasticity, offering a natural result after their application.

The treatment has excellent results

Actually, the injectables and threads cause biochemical stimulation (production of collagen, elastic fibers, etc.) and tissue repair. Their application results in a glowing, shiny, and relaxed skin. Their repairing power depends on the materials and application method, and that is the reason why it is not as simple a task as it looks.

Injectable threads do not substitute for hyaluronic acid; however, after their application, it is possible to reduce the volume (i.e. the amount) of hyaluronic acid that will be needed to improve the look of the face. However, what is very important is that, the 2 methods (threads and hyaluronic acid) can be perfectly combined and ideally complement each other, when managed by a Dermatologist.
